Shared Calendars

Shared calendars are a great tool to keep organized. My wife and I use our Google Calendar to schedule day-to-day events and to keep track of everything from work events to birthdays.

If you have never tried out Google's Calendar app, now's the time! Gcal now supports direct syncing to Outlook and Apple's iCal applications.

I recently created a birthday's calendar to keep track of friends and relatives with birthdays I constantly miss. It was really easy and I was able to share it with all the people I know using Gmail so that they could also edit the calendar. http://www.google.com/support/calendar/bin/answer.py?answer=37082

You can even publish a calendar for all the world to see or share a private link with just those last few hotmail users out there if you want. http://www.google.com/support/calendar/bin/answer.py?answer=41208

Here is an example of an embedded calendar for US Holidays. I found the calendar by searching for public calendars to view.
